Good Division 3 Ice Hockey Schools?

Hi all, I'm really into ice hockey and looking at the possibility of playing in college at a D3 school. Anyone have any personal experience or recommendations for strong Division 3 ice hockey programs?

Sure, I'd love to suggest some Division III schools that are known for having strong ice hockey programs. One institution that stands out is the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. The men's team at UW–Stevens Point has won several NCAA Division III championships, most recently in 2019. The school has a strong fan base, and the ice hockey program is respected for its competitive edge.

Another school to consider is Norwich University in Vermont. The Norwich Cadets have a storied history in Division III hockey, with both their men's and women's teams routinely making it to the Division III Frozen Four and winning numerous championship titles.

You might also want to look at Hobart College in New York state, which sports a well-regarded men's ice hockey team that frequently competes in the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championships.

It's important to remember that you should pick a college that fits you academically, socially, and athletically. So, in addition to their hockey programs, you should consider other factors such as their academic offerings, location, and the overall student culture.

Lastly, I would encourage you to reach out to the college's hockey coaching staff for each school you’re considering. They can give you additional information about their program and may be able to offer advice about how to balance athletics with your academic commitments. Also consider visiting the school and the athletic facilities if possible, to get a better feel for what playing there might be like.

Remember, every college hockey program is different. Be sure to find one that aligns with your own personal and athletic goals!
