How competitive is Baylor University's acceptance rate?

Hey, I've been considering Baylor University as one of my top choices, but I don't know much about their acceptance rate. Does anyone know how competitive it is to get admitted?

Baylor University has a moderately selective admissions process, with an acceptance rate of about 45-50% in recent years.

While the acceptance rate is a good starting point for understanding Baylor's admissions competitiveness, it's not the only factor worth considering. When evaluating your chances of getting accepted, it's also important to look at their average admitted student profile, as ultimately your own grades, test scores, extracurriculars, and so on matter much more for determining your chances of acceptance than the school's overall rate.

Recently, the average accepted student at Baylor has had an SAT score around 1250, or an ACT score around 28. Being around these benchmarks shows that you'e in a competitive position, although do keep in mind these aren't hard minimums - if you're below them, you can still be accepted so long as you show notable strengths in other areas of your application. At the same time, being at or above them doesn't guarantee acceptance, so make sure you still pay close attention to the other aspects of your application.

It's also worth noting that Baylor is officially test-optional, so you actually aren't required to submit an SAT or ACT score, but these metrics can still give you a general idea of how you stack up, even if you don't end up submitting your score. Do keep in mind that, even at test-optional schools, there can still be instances where including a test score with your application is a good idea.
