Hi, guys! Just took the SAT and the wait is killing me. Anybody know on average, how long we gotta wait for results? Also, is there a way to get notified or do I have to keep checking the CollegeBoard site?
Great job on completing your SAT! Generally, SAT scores are released about two weeks after the test date (however on some occasions it can take up to four weeks). However, this may slightly vary depending on the test date and the volume of tests being scored.
In terms of getting notified, you don't need to keep refreshing the CollegeBoard site. They will send you an email as soon as your scores are ready to be viewed online. So, make sure the email you used to register for the SAT is one you check frequently.
Remember that these are your raw scores. If you ordered score reports to be sent to colleges, they will typically reach these institutions within 10 days from the score release date. CollegeBoard will also send you a separate notification once the scores have been sent.
Finally, while it's natural to be eager to know your results, try not to stress too much during the waiting period. Engage in activities you enjoy, and the time will pass before you know it! Good luck!
