What's the acceptance rate like at Alabama University?

So I'm interested in Alabama University, but I'm a bit confused about their acceptance rates. Does anyone know what the current acceptance rate is? And how competitive is it to get in?

The University of Alabama, as of 2024, has an acceptance rate of around 75.8%, making the admissions process somewhat less selective. However, don't forget that a lot of students who apply with grades that are far below average, are typically not admitted.

Even though the acceptance rate is fairly high, the University of Alabama still expects students to be solid academically. The middle 50% of admitted students typically have an ACT score between 22-30, and an SAT score between 1120-1370.

The GPA requirement is also important, with admitted students having an average high school GPA of about 3.87. However, the University of Alabama does use a holistic admissions approach, which means they evaluate your application as a whole, considering factors like extracurricular involvement, leadership, and service, in addition to your academic performance.

Don't let the relatively high acceptance rate fool you. It's always best to strive for a strong application in all aspects to maximize your chances of being admitted.
