What are the GPA requirements for UF?

Hey UF hopeful here! Has anyone got any solid info on what kind of GPA UF typically looks for? I'm seeing tons of different numbers online and it's stressing me out. Any tips or advice is welcome!

The University of Florida (UF) generally attracts applicants with strong academic records, both in terms of GPA and course rigor. While UF doesn’t publish a minimum GPA requirement for admissions, to give you an idea, the middle 50% of admitted students for the Fall 2023 incoming class had a weighted GPA between 4.4 to 4.6.

However, this range is just a rough gauge and doesn't necessarily mean you must have a GPA within it to gain admission. The admissions team looks at a host of factors beyond just GPA, such as your course rigor (e.g., Honors, AP, IB courses), extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, personal achievements, and more.

If your GPA is falling short, you might want to focus on other aspects of your application to help you stand out. For example, having Tier 1 or 2 extracurriculars, writing compelling personal essays, or seeking strong letters of recommendation from your teachers or mentors can certainly help.

Remember that a holistic review process means every part of your application is taken into consideration!
