Communications Major at Mizzou

Is there anyone studying communications at Mizzou? Could you share your experience? I'm really interested in their program, so hearing from someone actually in it would be super helpful.

While I'm not personally studying communications at Mizzou, I've heard some insights from students who are. They talk about a well-rounded curriculum that offers a solid theoretical foundation and hands-on experience. The faculty is generally regarded as skilled and supportive, with notable industry connections that can be beneficial for job prospects and internships.

Mizzou's School of Journalism, which houses the Communication department, has a strong reputation nationally. This reputation contributes to the robust program Mizzou offers: there are numerous opportunities for involvement in extracurricular activities, such as the student newspaper and radio station, that provide real-world applications of what is learned in the classroom.

However, like any program, the experience can be rigorous and could demand a good amount of time and effort dedicated to studying. Overall, while academically rigorous, the program seems to prepare students well for future challenges in the job market.

Please keep in mind that individual experiences may vary, and what works well for one student may not for another. If possible, try reaching out to current students or alumni through Mizzou's student organizations or LinkedIn to gain more direct perspectives.
