What to Bring for SAT Test

Super anxious about my first SATs! Just wanted to know what exactly should I pack for the test day. Any help would make it a lot less intimidating, thanks!

Great that you're thinking ahead about your test day prep! It'll certainly make things smoother on the day of the exam. Here's a list I'd suggest for what to bring:

1. Admission Ticket: First and foremost, don't forget your printed SAT admission ticket! You can't take the test without it.

2. Valid ID: You must also bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, or school ID.

3. #2 Pencils & an Eraser: Make sure your pencils are sharp. Mechanical pencils aren't allowed, so you'll need traditional #2 pencils.

4. SAT-approved Calculator: You can use a calculator only during certain parts of the math sections. Make sure your calculator is an SAT-approved model.

5. Snacks and a Water Bottle: You'll get brief breaks during the test where you can hydrate and fuel up with a snack.

6. A Watch (not digital): Keeping track of time can help you pace yourself during the test.

7. Layers of Clothing: Temperatures in testing rooms can vary, so it might be a good idea to wear a t-shirt with a sweater or a hoodie on top, so you're prepared for all situations.

8. Backup Supplies: An extra calculator battery, additional pencils, and a sharpener. You won't want to search around the room if one supply fails you.

That should be pretty much everything! Good luck with your test. Remember to take deep breaths and stay composed. You've got this!
