What Should I Bring for SAT Day?

Hey everyone! My SAT test day is looming on the horizon and I’m trying to create a checklist of things I should take with me. Can someone help me out? What essentials should I definitely have with me on SAT day?

Sure thing! It's understandable that you want to be well-prepared for such an important event. Here's a list of essentials you should definitely consider bringing along for SAT day:

1. Admission Ticket: You can print this out from your account on the College Board site. It's your primary identification and the proof that you're registered for the test.

2. Photo ID: This could be your school ID, driver's license, passport or any other government-issued ID. Make sure your name on the ID is exactly the same as the name on your Admission Ticket.

3. No. 2 Pencils & Eraser: Even though the SAT is now digital, you're still permitted to use pencil and paper for notes or scratchwork. No mechanical pencils or pens are allowed.

4. Calculator: For the digital SAT, you can use your calculator during both of the math modules. Be sure to bring an approved calculator from The College Board's list of acceptable calculator brands and types.

5. Snacks and Water: It's a long test, so consider packing some light, non-perishable snacks and a bottle of water to keep you energized during the breaks.

6. Layered clothing: Sometimes the test rooms can be unexpectedly chilly or warm, so dressing in layers allows you to add or remove clothing as the room's temperature changes.

7. Watch: Consider wearing a watch without an audible alarm to keep track of time. Keep in mind, though, that smartwatches are prohibited.

Try to pack up everything the night before to avoid any last minute rushing on the test day. Remember to set an alarm as well so you get to the testing center on time. Best of luck with your SAT!
