Super stressed junior here. I know for the ACT the top score is a 36, but I heard recently that this might have changed? Can anyone confirm what's the highest score you can get on the ACT? Please and thank you!
No need to stress! The highest possible score on the ACT remains the same, it's a 36. Each of the 4 multiple-choice sections—English, Math, Reading, and Science—is scored out of 36. These four scores are averaged to give you a composite ACT score, which is also out of 36. These scores have not changed and continue to be the standard. Also, remember that while aiming for high scores is important, colleges review your application holistically, meaning they look at more than just your test scores. They're also interested in your grades, extracurricular activities, essays, letters of recommendation, and more. So, while you prepare for your ACT, don't lose sight of the other application pieces. Happy studying!
