Grinding Through: What's the Toughest College Major?

In the spirit of looking towards the future and freaking out just a little bit, what's known as the hardest college major out there? And why is it considered so?

While the difficulty of a major can be subjective and dependent on each individual's strengths and interests, several fields are frequently cited as institutionally demanding. Here are a few examples:

1. Engineering: Engineering is often considered one of the most challenging college majors, regardless of the specific discipline (chemical, civil, mechanical, biomedical, etc.). Reasons include rigorous coursework, time-consuming lab and project work, and the necessity of mastering complex mathematical and scientific concepts. 4. Computer Science: Computer Science requires strong problem-solving abilities and a precise understanding of programming languages. The field is constantly evolving, which means students may need to keep up with rapidly changing technologies and methods.

Architecture: While it might not be the first major you think of, architecture is often known as a very demanding field due to the amount of studio design work, which can be time-consuming and involved. In addition, there's a need to understand architectural history, structural mathematics, and software like CAD.
