What's the average SAT score at Harvard?

Hi, I hope y'all are doing well. I had a quick question- does anyone know what the average SAT score for someone accepted to Harvard is? Any help would be much appreciated.

Harvard University is one of the most selective schools in the world and the specifically reported range of SAT scores is quite high. For those admitted in recent years, middle 50% SAT scores usually range from approximately 1460 to 1580. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1460 and another 25% scored above 1580.

Needless to say, these are very strong scores, but remember that standardized test scores are just one aspect of a holistic admissions process. Plenty of applicants get rejected with perfect scores while others with lower scores get accepted.

If you'd like to increase your score, it's important to take full-length practice SAT tests to familiarize yourself with the format and work on time management. Furthermore, recognizing your weaknesses and working on those can help to improve your score. For example, if you struggle with the reading section, consider implementing various strategies, such as active reading or examining the types of questions you miss.

Remember, though, a high SAT score is not a golden ticket to Harvard. Make sure the rest of your application is strong and well-rounded. This includes your GPA, extracurriculars, essays, and letters of recommendation. Your entire application paints a broader picture of who you are beyond your test scores.
