Top CUNY Schools?

Hi guys! I'm a junior, and I've been considering the CUNY schools for their affordable tuition and great location. But since there are so many, I'm having trouble deciding which ones to apply to. Could anyone tell me which CUNY schools are considered the best or most prestigious? Thanks!

Absolutely, it's great that you're considering the CUNY system - there are a lot of excellent schools as part of that system. Here are a few of the most highly-regarded CUNY schools:

1. Baruch College: Known for its business programs, particularly its Zicklin School of Business. It's often considered a top public college for business in the country.

2. Hunter College: Noted for its strong programs in the social sciences, nursing, and its highly selective Honors College.

3. City College of New York (CCNY): The flagship of the CUNY system, it's known for its engineering and architecture programs. The architecture program is particularly notable; it's the only public school in NYC that has one.

4. Queens College: Known for its education, journalism, and psychology programs. They even have a special program, TIME 2000, for those interested in math education.

5. Brooklyn College: Known for their film production and film studies programs. It's one of the few public colleges in the NYC area that offers a film production major.

Each of these colleges also offers an Honors College, which could provide an even more rigorous curriculum and additional resources if you're interested in applying. Of course, beyond overall prestige, it's important to choose a school that's strong in the areas that align most closely with your academic and career goals. So, I would suggest researching more about the specific programs you're interested in at each school.

I hope this initial overview is helpful, though - good luck with your college process!
