Average accepted GPA for CSU?

Hey fellow redditors. Here suffering from junior year stress. 😂 Leaning towards applying to CSU next year, just curious about what GPA range they usually accept. Any idea, anyone?

Hey there! Understand the junior year stress all too well. When it comes to the GPA range for California State University campuses, it varies from school to school. The CSU system as a whole doesn't have a set minimum GPA for admission, but generally speaking, most of the campuses are quite competitive and look for students with a weighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.

For example, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is one of the most selective CSU schools and typically accepts students with a GPA in the range of 4.04-4.25. On the other hand, campuses like CSU Bakersfield, CSU East Bay, or CSU Stanislaus may accept students with a GPA range of around 2.8-3.5.

It's important to note that these are just rough estimates and other factors also play a role in the admission process, such as course rigor and extracurriculars. So don't stress too much about the GPA alone. Focus on doing well in your current coursework and showcasing your strengths in your application. Good luck!
