ACT score for University of Michigan?

I've been studying hard for my ACT and aiming to get into the University of Michigan. I'm curious to know what's an average ACT score that could secure my position there. Can anybody help me out with some info?

The University of Michigan is quite selective, so students admitted to Michigan commonly have high ACT scores. As per the most recent data available, the middle 50% ACT scores of admitted students ranged from 31 to 34. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below a 31, 50% of students scored between 31 and 34, and 25% scored above a 34.

However, keep in mind that the admissions process isn't solely about test scores. Your GPA, course rigor, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation are also essential elements of your overall application package. Especially for test-optional schools, your test scores are just one factor among many that admissions officers will consider.

Additionally, as for the 2024-2025 application cycle, the University of Michigan is still remaining test-optional. This means that while you are encouraged to submit your scores if you think they accurately represent your academic abilities, not doing so will not negatively impact your application.

So, while scoring within or above the middle 50% range can enhance your chances, having a score slightly below this range doesn't necessarily rule you out either. Remember, these scores are just averages, and admissions officers look at each application as a whole. Aim to represent your strengths and experiences fully and authentically in every aspect of your application. Good luck with your preparation!
