CalTech Projections: Is it a solid choice?

I'm considering applying to CalTech and I want to know, how good of a school is it? Does anyone have experiences with it or knows someone who does?

Caltech is consistently ranked among the top universities in the world, particularly for its strength in the natural sciences and engineering. It also enjoys a small student body with close faculty-student engagement, which can foster a more personalized and in-depth learning experience.
