Ideas for a persuasive topic?

I'm kinda stuck trying to find a unique and compelling topic for my persuasive essay. I sort of feel like every topic has been done to death, you know? I’d love to hear some fresh ideas or themes that I could explore. P.S - It's for an AP language assignment but can be about any topic. Hope you guys can help me out!

Why not delve into an issue that pertains to teenagers specifically? Often times, students underestimate the power of their voice when discussing issues that directly affect their age group. This perspective can be incredibly persuasive since you are speaking from personal understanding and experience.

One idea might be exploring the impact of social media on the mental health of teens. You could discuss the pros and cons of various social media platforms and argue for better mental health resources or education in relation to these platforms.

Another option could be discussing the frequent lack of financial education provided in high schools and proposing solutions for improving financial literacy among teenagers. Since this is a problem many students face, I think it could make for a compelling argument.

Alternatively, issues related to the current education system could be interesting to explore. Think about the current learning styles, standardized testing, or the role of extracurriculars in student life.

One more idea could be discussing the voting age. Is 18 the right age, or should it be lowered since many societal and economical issues directly affect the 16-18 group, or should it be raised given late development of the prefrontal cortex (involved in decision-making and moderating social behavior)?
