Anyone know the typical PSAT 8/9 score range?

Hey y'all, I'm a bit confused here, does anyone have a clear idea about the general PSAT 8/9 score range? What's considered a good score?

The PSAT 8/9, part of the suite of assessments offered by College Board designed for eighth and ninth graders, is scored on a scale of 120-720 for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 120-720 for Math. This creates a total score range from 240 to 1440.

Let's say, generally, a "good" score would likely be one that places you in the top 25% of test takers, which according to College Board's percentile ranks for the PSAT 8/9 would be a total score above approximately 1000-1050. A "great" score would place you in the top 10%, which would be a total score above 1150. But remember, the PSAT 8/9 is less about getting a top score and more about beginning to prepare for standardized testing experiences down the line.

Using this test as a benchmark to see where you stand academically can be a helpful tool for further preparation. You can identify areas of strength and weakness based on your scores, and then focus on areas for improvement as you look forward to future testing like the PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, or the SAT.
