How high should my GPA be to apply to University of Washington?

My dream school is the University of Washington. I've been working pretty hard but I just wanted to know what the typical GPA is for incoming freshmen? Thanks peeps!

While the University of Washington doesn't specifically state a minimum GPA requirement for their admission process, it's useful to look at the GPAs of previously admitted students to get a sense of what they're looking for. For example, the middle 50% range for the GPA of admitted students tends to be a 3.75 to 3.98.

However, it’s also essential to remember that GPA is not the only component of your application considered by the admission officers. They use a holistic review process, which means they take into consideration other factors such as your course rigour, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. So even if your GPA is slightly lower than what has been previously stated, please don't be discouraged to apply. For instance, if you have an exceptionally strong extracurricular profile (e.g. a Tier 1 or Tier 2 activity), it can compensate for a slightly lower GPA.

Finally, it's important to keep in mind that these are just guidelines, not guarantees for admission. The best advice is to continue working hard, challenge yourself academically, and show your passionate involvement in activities you love. Good luck!
