SAT scores for FSU?

Hey guys, I'm a junior who's looking into Florida State University. I'm wondering what kind of SAT scores they usually accept? Would really appreciate some guidance here. Thanks in advance!

Florida State University (FSU) does not publish an explicit SAT cut-off, but you can get an idea of the SAT scores of admitted students by looking at the middle 50% range. The middle 50% SAT range is a way to define the range in which the middle majority (50%) of admitted students' scores lie.

For the 2024-2025 admissions cycle, the middle 50% SAT score range for FSU was 1340 to 1400. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1340, and another 25% of admitted students scored above 1330. Therefore, having an SAT score within this range will put you in a solid position for admission, but a score higher than 1400 would make you a more competitive candidate.

Keep in mind, however, that your SAT scores are just one part of your application. FSU evaluates applications holistically, meaning they will also be looking at your grades, your coursework difficulty, your extracurriculars, your essays, and potentially some other factors as well.

Just as a side note, FSU allows you to self-report your SAT scores when you apply. This means that you can enter your scores on the application without having to pay to send an official score report, unless you're accepted and decide to attend FSU.

I hope this information was helpful to you. Best of luck with your college applications process!
