Looking for advice on the best CSU!

Hello everyone, I'm currently a junior in high school and have been considering applying to some California State Universities. Any insights on which CSU is considered the best or most reputable? What has been your experience if you're attending a CSU?

Choosing between CSU schools largely depends on what you're looking for in terms of environment, campus, and particular programs of interest. Some standouts are often considered:

- Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (SLO) is often ranked highly overall and specifically lauded for its engineering and architecture programs. The school also embraces a "learn by doing" philosophy which translates to a rich variety of hands-on opportunities for students. SLO's location also offers the benefits of a college town setting, with beautiful scenery and outdoor activities.

- San Diego State University (SDSU) is another highly reputed CSU particularly for its business and engineering programs. SDSU's campus life is vibrant with strong athletic spirit.

- San Jose State University (SJSU) is well-known for its computer science and software engineering programs. Given its location in Silicon Valley, it also provides great internship and job opportunities.

- California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is also frequently recognized for its strong programs across a variety of disciplines.

Keep in mind that no single CSU may be universally considered the "best" - it really depends on your personal priorities and academic goals. It's recommended that you research different schools and their programs, visit campuses (if possible), and speak with current students or alumni. That will give you a better sense of what each campus culture is like and help you understand if you'll thrive in that environment.

Remember, what's important is not just the campus itself, but how well you fit in and how well it accommodates your future aspirations!
