Required SAT scores for UConn?

Hey there. I'm prepping for the SATs and UConn is definitely high on my list. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me what the anticipated SAT score range for the incoming class is? Have they changed any standards lately regarding test scores? Thanks!

Hello! From what I can gather for your intended application to the University of Connecticut (UConn), it's important to remember that while your SAT scores are a significant part of your application, they aren't the sole determining factor for admission.

Based on the most recent data, the middle 50% SAT score range for UConn falls between 1210 and 1420. This means that 25% of students scored below 1210, whereas 25% scored above 1420. Keep in mind that these are not hard-and-fast cutoffs, so you could still be admitted with a score below 1210 or might not be admitted with a score above 1420. It's advisable to aim for a score within or above this range to increase your chances of admission.

In terms of changes, as of the 2024-2025 application cycle, UConn has adopted a test-optional policy. This policy decision was primarily driven by the global COVID-19 pandemic and the related difficulties many students faced in accessing standardized testing. This means that while UConn will still review SAT scores if submitted, not submitting scores won't negatively impact your application. Consider your score in relation to the averages, and from there, decide whether to submit them.

Hope this information helps, and best of luck in your SAT prep!
