Princeton and SAT scores?

Hey everybody! So, I'm planning to apply to Princeton and I'm just super curious. What's the average SAT score for incoming freshmen at Princeton? I just want to see where I line up and what I need to still work on.

Hello! For competitive schools like Princeton, it's always beneficial to aim for a high SAT score. According to the most recent data available, the middle 50% SAT range for students accepted at Princeton is between 1510 to 1570. This means that half of Princeton's incoming freshmen scored within this range.

However, remember that standardized test scores aren't the only factor in admissions decisions. Schools like Princeton also look at your GPA, coursework rigor, extracurricular involvement, essays, and recommendation letters. Furthermore, something else to consider is that Princeton is a highly selective institution and many applicants who receive admission will have competitive profiles beyond just their SAT scores.

If your SAT score is in the range I mentioned or even better, higher, you're in a good position. But if it's lower, don't lose hope. Continue to strengthen other parts of your application, and consider re-taking the SAT if you think you can significantly improve your score.

All the best with your preparations!
