What's UF's SAT average like?

Hey everyone! I'm really hoping to get into UF. Does anyone know what the average SAT score looks like for admitted students? Are they relatively flexible, or pretty strict on meeting the average score? Any info's appreciated. Thanks!

The University of Florida (UF) typically attracts a highly competitive applicant pool, and their middle 50% SAT range usually gives a good indication of the scores commonly seen among admitted students. For the last admissions cycle, UF's middle 50% SAT score was between 1330 and 1460. This means that 25% of students scored below 1330 and another 25% scored above 1460. The remaining 50% of students fell within this range.

Remember, it's not an absolute threshold – you don't necessarily need to score within or above this range to be admitted. Other factors like your GPA, course rigor, essays, and extracurricular activities also play a substantial role in the decision process. Yet, a strong SAT score can indeed enhance your application, particularly at a competitive institution like UF.

Also, for the 2024-2025 application cycle, UF continues to offer a test-optional application process to accommodate students affected by test cancellations during the Covid-19 pandemic. This means that you have the choice of whether or not to submit SAT or ACT scores. However, if you believe your scores accurately reflect your academic abilities and they fall within or above the middle 50% range, it could be beneficial to include them in your application.
