Where can I take the SAT?

Yo, can anyone tell me where I can register for and take the SAT? I'm sure it varies by location, so how can I find a test center near me? TIA!

Sure thing! For the SAT, you'll need to register and find your testing center through the College Board's website. It's their official designated channel for handling registrations and they have a pretty user-friendly interface.

Once you’re on the College Board's website:

1. Create an account if you haven’t done so already.

2. Log into your account and select 'register for the SAT'.

3. As you go through the registration process, you will reach a point where you can select your test center.

The College Board's tool will show you a list of testing centers in or near your zip code. Keep in mind that availability can vary quite a bit, particularly if you're registering later or if your area has many high school students.

If you find that your local testing centers are full, don't panic. You might have to travel a bit, but since the test is in the morning, ensure you have your transport and logistics figured out well in advance. And don't forget to set a few alarms!

Remember, only some schools act as testing centers, not all, so you may have to go to a school other than your own. Also, starting in Fall 2023, the SAT was moved fully online, but don't get confused - you still have to take the test physically at a school or testing center.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your SAT prep!
