What's the GPA requirement for Stanford University?

Yo, peeps! I'm currently working on my college list and Stanford is one of my top choices. Has anyone got an idea about the GPA required for admission to Stanford University? Looking for some answers, thanks in advance!

Hello! That's a good question. Like many other highly selective universities, Stanford University doesn't exactly have a set GPA requirement. That said, a high GPA certainly reflects a strong academic record and will improve your odds of admission.

In terms of numbers, for the class of 2025, the middle 50th percentile GPA for admitted students was between 3.96 and 4.0 on the unweighted 4.0 scale. So, a large majority of students admitted to Stanford have nearly perfect GPAs.

However, remember that Stanford takes a holistic approach to reviewing applications. That means they don't just look at raw numbers. They consider the rigor of your high school curriculum, your progression over the years, the context of your high school (how competitive it is, what courses it offers, etc), and your other achievements and experiences.

In other words, a high GPA is crucial, but it's far from the only factor at play. Make sure to also focus on other parts of your application like your essays, recommendations, and extracurricular involvement to paint a complete picture of what you bring to the Stanford community. Hope this answer helps and best of luck with your applications!
