Finding SAT Testing Locations

Hello! I'm planning to sign up for the SAT soon and I'm confused on how to find the nearest testing location. Can someone walk me through how to find my closest SAT testing center? And how early should I secure my spot? Thanks a lot!

You can find test centers for the SAT by using the SAT Test Center Search tool on the College Board’s website. After landing on the page, click on "Find Test Centers” to get started. You will be prompted to enter your zip code to find the nearest test location. You'll then be able to see a list of local test centers, along with the administration dates they offer.

The College Board typically releases SAT test dates for the following year in the spring (for example, spring 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year), so you could check out the registration deadlines soon after the dates are released.

It's a good idea to sign up for the test as soon as possible once registration opens, especially if you have a specific date in mind. SAT testing locations can and do fill up, particularly in densely populated areas. By signing up early, you'll have a better chance of getting your preferred date and location.

Remember, your registration isn't complete until you've paid the registration fee. Good luck with your preparations!
