What SAT scores does the University of Texas expect?

Hey all, I'm soon to be taking my SATs and am really stressing about my target score. I'm particularly interested in the University of Texas and would like to know what SAT scores they generally expect. Anyone has any ideas? Thank you so much!

While the University of Texas at Austin does not officially publish a specific SAT requirement, it's helpful to look at the middle 50% range of accepted students to see where your scores might fall.

The middle 50% SAT scores for admitted students to UT Austin tend to range from about 1230 to 1480. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1230, while another 25% scored above 1480.

However, keep in mind that starting from the 2024-2025 application cycle, UT Austin has decided to require all applicants to submit an SAT or ACT score, which can play a significant role in the application review process.

Also, remember that the SAT is now entirely digital and gives you the opportunity to use a calculator for both math modules, which might help you boost your score.

Lastly, try to stay balanced. Your SAT score is just one aspect of your application. Your grades, course rigor, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation all play a role as well. Good luck with your preparation!
