Seeking Info on Saint Joseph University's Standing

Hey, folks! So, a friend told me that Saint Joseph University was pretty decent, but I wanted to get some additional perspective. Do any of you have a handle on where it ranks among other universities? Any inside scoops on what's good and not so good about it?

Saint Joseph's University, located in Philadelphia, is known for providing a strong, comprehensive Jesuit education. The university is ranked #10 in the 2025 edition of Best Regional Universities North by U.S. News & World Report. It is also recognized for its commitment to supporting undergraduate teaching.

In terms of academics, the Haub School of Business is particularly well regarded, especially its food marketing and pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing programs, which are unique to Saint Joseph's. The business school is AACSB-accredited, a distinction earned by only 5% of business schools worldwide.

Campus life is known to be inclusive and engaging with ample opportunities for community service, reflecting the school's Jesuit roots. The school has a very close-knit community, and many students appreciate the smaller class sizes that allow for personalized attention.

The university's location in a major city like Philadelphia also provides students with great internship and job opportunities, as well as real-world experience in various industries.

However, as with any institution, there are areas where some students feel the university could do better, such as diversifying the student population more, as it can feel quite homogenous at times. The school's science facilities and offerings aren't as robust as at some larger universities, so students interested in STEM fields may find resources slightly limited.

Keep in mind that experiences can vary widely and it is essential to consider what elements of a college experience are most important to you while making a decision.
