Need help with sending ACT scores!

Hey peeps, a little confused here. I've taken my ACT and now I want to send my scores to colleges but I don't know the exact process. Can anyone guide me on how to do it? Is there a deadline or can I send them anytime? Just need a little clarification. Cheers!

Sure, happy to help! The sending process of your ACT scores actually begins when you register for the exam. When registering, you have the option to choose up to four colleges to send your scores to at no cost. This is optional and doesn't affect when you'll receive your individual score report. Keep in mind that you're selecting these colleges before knowing your scores.

In case you didn’t select colleges during registration or if you decided to send your scores to more than four colleges, you can request additional score reports after the test through your ACT account. These requests are subject to additional fees.

The ACT doesn't have a set deadline for sending scores to colleges because each college or university sets its own policies regarding ACT score submission timelines. However, it's a good idea to send your scores, or at least have them available to be sent, as soon as you can after taking the test. This helps ensure that the colleges receive them by their respective application deadlines.

Also, it's good to note that colleges, especially more selective ones, may consider your highest section scores across all the dates you took the ACT (this is often called 'superscoring'). Make sure to check the policy of each school you're applying to understand their specific requirements.

So basically the steps will be:

- Log into your ACT account

- Click "Send Your Scores"

- Add the college code(s)

- Pay the additional score report fees, if any

It's advisable to check with the colleges you’re applying to ensure they have received your scores in time for their admission deadlines. Hope this helps!
