Hey everyone, prep for the SATs is getting real. Anyone knows just how many questions I should expect in the Math section?
In the current digital version of the SAT, there are two Math sections, each one comprises 35 minutes, and altogether, they contain 44 questions in total. So unlike the previous format, there is no longer a no-calculator section; you are allowed the use of a calculator throughout both modules.
The questions still cover the same general math topics as before, such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, along with some data analysis and problem-solving questions. As for timing, you get an average of about 96 seconds per question or a little over a minute and a half.
Best of luck with your prep, and don't forget to incorporate some practice tests to familiarize yourself with the question types and the testing format. They're a great way to gauge how well you're doing!
