Best Schools for Interior Design

Can anyone give me info on the top schools for interior design? I'm starting to look at colleges and this is the field I'm interested in.

Absolutely! There are several institutions recognized for having strong Interior Design programs.

First off, we have the Pratt Institute in New York. They offer a BFA in Interior Design that combines practical works with experimental projects to push the boundaries of interior design.

Then we have the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), known for its emphasis on creativity and innovation. Their Interior Architecture department innovatively merges the practices of interior design and architecture.

Another reputable program is at Parsons School of Design. Their BFA in Interior Design program focuses on sustainable design practices and emphasizes human-centered designs.

Also on the list is the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). SCAD is known not just for its interior design program but also for its strong focus on various fields of design. They provide a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), a Master of Arts (MA), and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in interior design.

The New York School of Interior Design offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in Interior Design. This specialized school is highly focused on preparing students for professional design practice.

Similarly, Cornell University's College of Human Ecology offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Design and Environmental Analysis, which undertakes a multi-disciplinary approach to interior design, focusing on design impact on human lives.

Please remember, though, that the best school will be the one that fits you personally and academically. Make sure to consider factors such as location, cost, program requirements, and course descriptions when deciding where to apply. Good luck!
