What are the components of the SAT exam?

Alright guys, I'm about to start my test prep journey for the SAT. But before I dive into my prep books, can someone tell me what the different parts of the SAT exam are? I understand there's Math and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing, but are there any additional components I should be aware about?

You're right that the SAT is divided into two main sections, Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math. I'll break down each of these sections further:

1. Evidence-Based Reading: There are two modules in this section (each 32 minutes long), featuring 54 questions total. It consists of passages from literature, historical documents, science articles, etc., and you answer questions based on these passages.

2. Writing & Language: This is included within the Evidence-Based Reading & Writing section. It tests grammar rules knowledge and rhetorical skills. Just like in the reading section, you'll be asked questions based on given passages.

3. Math: This also consists of two modules (each 35 minutes long), featuring a total of 44 questions. Unlike the old SAT, there's no no-calculator section on the new digital SAT, so you're allowed to use a calculator on all the math questions if you want to.

That's pretty much it! There's no optional essay section anymore, and SAT Subject Tests have been discontinued. So, you'll focus primarily on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math sections for your test prep. Best of luck with your studying!
