Hi everyone! I’ve set my sights on UCF for uni. Does anyone have a complete list of UCF’s entry requirements? Some concrete info on this would really help with my application game plan.

Sure, happy to provide some guidance on the University of Central Florida (UCF) admission requirements. Please note that these can vary slightly between departments, so it's always a good idea to check the specific guidelines for your intended major. However, here are the general requirements.

1. Completion of High School Curriculum: UCF requires you to complete certain high school coursework to be considered for admission. This includes four units of English (three of which must include substantial writing), four units of math (Algebra I level and above), three units of science (all of which must include a substantial lab), three units of social studies, and two sequential units of a foreign language.

2. GPA: While UCF doesn't specify a minimum GPA requirement, it's known to be competitive. The average GPA for incoming freshmen is around 4.1 to 4.5 on a 4.0 scale.

3. Standardized Tests: For the 2024-2025 application cycle, UCF is test-optional but not test-blind. This means you have the choice to submit SAT or ACT test scores if you believe they'll strengthen your application. However, they are not required. If you do choose to submit, in 2021, the middle 50% SAT score range for accepted students was 1200-1360, and the middle 50% ACT score range was 25-29.

4. Essay: UCF has an optional essay. While not required, it's an opportunity to showcase your writing ability and share more about yourself beyond grades and test scores.

5. Letters of Recommendation: UCF does not require letters of recommendation. They state that if submitted, they will not be reviewed.

6. Application: You can apply through the UCF institutional application or the Common Application.

Important note: All incoming Florida students are also required to provide proof of immunizations.

Don't forget that UCF has an application fee, but waivers are available for eligible students.

For the exact application deadlines, be sure to check UCF’s admissions website as these can change annually. Good luck with your application!
