Is AP Environmental Science a good elective to consider?

Even though I know a little bit about AP courses, I'm not totally sure about AP Environmental Science. Is this course a good fit for someone interested in pursuing something science-related in college? Does it matter if my intended major is something specific (like biology) or does it have a more broad appeal?
