ACT Average for Vanderbilt University

Kind of stressed here... I'm keen on applying to Vanderbilt University but I'm not sure if my ACT score is strong enough. Does anyone know what their average score is? I'm trying to figure out if I should maybe retake the ACT to boost my chances.

Vanderbilt University is considered quite competitive, and typically admits students with high standardized test scores. In the most recent admission cycle, the middle 50% range was 34-35 for the ACT.

Remember that while your ACT score is important, it's not the only factor considered during the admission process. Your GPA, the rigor of your coursework, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation all play significant roles. Each element serves to build a well-rounded profile of you as an applicant.

But if your ACT score is significantly below the median range, it may be a good idea to consider retaking it if you have time and feel you can improve. Alternatively, you could focus on strengthening other aspects of your application, such as your essays or involvement in extracurricular activities.

Keep in mind that because the admissions process is holistic, even a perfect ACT score doesn't guarantee acceptance. Each part of your application matters.
