Struggling with ACT Math

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with ACT math practice problems. Does anyone have any tips or resources they've used for practice that they found helpful?

Sure, there are many resources out there to help improve your ACT Math performance. An excellent approach is to first identify the areas you struggle with most. ACT Math can ask about a broad range of topics, including pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, and trigonometry. Once you have identified which areas are more challenging for you, focus your practice on those topics.

One great resource is Khan Academy, which, although doesn't have specific ACT resources, has math courses that cover all the topics you'll see on the test. It has the advantage of interactive exercises and video lessons which explain the subject matter in a clear manner.

Similarly, ACT.org has released several official ACT practice tests that you can use to practice. These tests are great for understanding the structure of the questions. Keep in mind that you need to practice under similar conditions to the actual ACT, time yourself, and then review the answers in-depth.

As you review your practice problems, pay special attention to the questions you got wrong or the ones you guessed correctly. Understand the rationale behind the answers. This exercise will help you correct your mistakes and understand the framing of the questions better.

Remember, the ACT rewards accuracy and speed, so as you practice more, try to increase your speed without sacrificing accuracy. Good luck!
