ACT voucher inquiry

Hey everyone! I've come across something called an ACT voucher and I'm wondering how to obtain one. What is its purpose and how can it be beneficial? I'm looking for ways to ease this whole testing process, any advice on this would be great. Cheers!

An ACT fee waiver, which is sometimes colloquially referred to as a voucher, is designed to help high school students who can't afford the testing fees associated with the ACT. It covers the full cost of the ACT (No Writing), or the ACT with Writing. Additionally, if you qualify for an ACT fee waiver, you'll also get benefits like free score reports to send to colleges, and free access to ACT Rapid Review Live.

There are some eligibility requirements, though. You need to be currently enrolled in high school in the 11th or 12th grade, be testing in the U.S., U.S. territories, or Puerto Rico, and meet one or more of the following criteria:

- You’re enrolled in a federal free or reduced-price lunch program at school

- You’re enrolled in a program for the economically disadvantaged (such as a TRIO program)

- Your family receives public assistance

- You live in foster care or are homeless

- You’re a ward of the state or an orphan

To get a fee waiver, you'll need to meet with your high school counselor or another school official who has access to these waivers. They'll be able to guide you on how to apply.

Having the cost of the ACT covered can certainly take some pressure off your shoulders as you navigate the college admissions process. Moreover, free access to test prep resources like ACT Rapid Review Live can be a massive advantage, as it provides on-demand learning and selected live streaming thrown in, providing a comprehensive review of ACT topics. This way, you can focus more on preparing and less on the logistics. Good luck!
