Debating between SAT start times

Hello everyone! So, my school gives us the option between different start times for the SAT test, and I'm not sure what to go for. Any advice on which slot might work best? I can't seem to decide whether I'd be able to function better early morning or later in the day.

This decision generally comes down to your personal preferences and habits. Some people find that they're more alert and focused in the early morning, while others feel more energized in the afternoon. Ideally, you want to schedule your test around your personal peak hours.

One thing you might consider is if you usually wake up early and start school or other activities in the morning. Then maybe taking the SAT test in the morning when your mind is used to being active might be beneficial. Morning slots also have the advantage of getting the test done and out of the way, which could reduce stress.

On the other hand, if you're someone who takes a bit more time to wake up and doesn't usually feel alert until later in the day, an afternoon testing slot might work better for you. You'd have more time to ensure you're fully awake and feeling fresh, and it would allow you to keep your usual morning routine.

One more factor to consider is whether or not your test-day nerves tend to dissipate as the day goes on. If you think you might have trouble sleeping the night before the test, a later start time would give you a chance to catch up on sleep.

In the end, the decision should ultimately be based on what would make you feel most comfortable and prepared to tackle the exam.
