ACT Scores for UF

Does anybody know what's a competitive ACT score for the University of Florida? Are there any cut-offs or is it more of a holistic review type of thing?

The University of Florida is mostly selective, and while there's no strict cut-off for ACT scores, a competitive score can boost your application. Their admitted students' middle 50% ACT composite scores tend to range between 30 and 34. This means that 25% of admitted students score below a 30 and 25% score above a 34.

Although a higher ACT score can enhance your chances, the application review process at UF goes beyond just test scores. They use a holistic approach that considers a variety of elements such as your high school GPA, the rigor of your course load, personal essays, and your involvement in extracurricular activities.

However, if you have a score within the mid-50% range or even higher, it means you have met a vital academic requirement of their admissions criteria. Just remember, an impressive ACT score isn't a guarantee of admission, as other areas of your application are equally important.
