Are there schools with a similar reputation and academic strength to UCLA?

Hey guys, so UCLA is definitely a dream with their strong academic programs and reputation, but I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground with some backups. Can anyone recommend schools that have a similar rep for strong academics but maybe aren't as tough to get into?
