ACT/SAT Scores for Middle Tennessee State University Admissions?

Hey guys, I've been looking into Middle Tennessee State University lately, and I was wondering about the ACT or SAT scores I need to meet for admissions. Has anyone been through the application process there and has any advice about their test score requirements?

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has a somewhat broad range of accepted test scores due to their holistic admissions process and the fact that they also consider high school GPA in their admissions process. The middle 50% ACT score range was 19-26, while the middle 50% SAT score range was between 1020 and 1230. This means that you have a good shot at getting in if you fall within or above this range.

That being said, these are just statistics from past years and do not guarantee admission. MTSU uses a holistic review process, so they will consider other factors alongside your standardized test scores, such as your GPA, the rigor of your high school curriculum, and your extracurricular activities.

Additionally, note that even though MTSU is not a test-optional school, they offer test-optional admission to students who have a high school GPA of 3.0 or above. If you decide to apply test-optional, be sure to make the other sections of your application as strong as possible.

In terms of preparing for the SAT or ACT, it's always a good idea to take several practice tests to familiarize yourself with the test format and question types. Both the CollegeBoard and ACT organizations have free practice tests available on their websites. You can also get a sense of where you're scoring to target your studying to areas where you need the most improvement. Just remember that the main goal is to show colleges, including MTSU, that you have the academic readiness for college-level coursework.

I hope this information helps, and best of luck with your college applications!
