Is there a chart that shows ACT percentiles?

Hi guys! I'm having some trouble wrapping my head around my ACT percentile. Is there somewhere I can find a chart that breaks this down? Any sort of resource that can guide me through this?

Yes, there is a way to interpret ACT scores, including understanding percentiles. While you cannot find these charts on an ACT official website like you used to, you can still find the latest charts, which are from 2019, elsewhere online.

For the 2019 ACT scoring, here's a brief summary:

- A composite score of 36 corresponds to a 99+ percentile, indicating that you've scored higher than 99% of test-takers.

- A score of 34 or 35 also corresponds to a 99 percentile.

- A score of 24 puts you at the 74th percentile, indicating that you've scored higher than 74% of test-takers.

This chart goes down in increments of 1, so you should be able to find your score and corresponding percentile with relative ease. Remember to sequence ACT scores from 1 to 36 and percentiles from 1 to 99.

Do keep in mind that just because you scored in, let's say, the 74th percentile doesn't mean that you answered 74% of questions correctly. It just means that you performed better than 74% of test-takers.

If you're planning to apply to colleges, you might find it helpful to compare your ACT scores with the average ACT scores of the schools you're targeting. This way, you can have a better understanding of where you stand.
