Is there a specific SAT score for University of Texas?

Hey y'all! I've been looking into the University of Texas quite a bit but I can't seem to find any clear info on the SAT score range they're looking for. Does anyone know what the average or desirable SAT score for UT is?

Starting from the 2024-2025 application cycle, The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) has reinstated the requirement for students to submit an SAT or ACT score as part of their application.

Although UT Austin doesn't publish a strict SAT score cut-off, you can get a sense of a competitive score range by looking at the middle 50% SAT score of admitted students. This means, 50% of UT Austin's enrolled freshmen have SAT scores within this range, while the remaining 50% scored slightly below or above this range. As of recent data, the middle 50% SAT score range was between 1230 and 1480.

But remember, a competitive score will give you a better chance, but it won't guarantee admission. UT Austin not only looks at academic qualifications but also considers other components of your application such as essays, extracurricular activities, and leadership experiences.

Also, keep in mind that this is the range admitted students typically fall in, so both the lower and upper end are equally important. It may be beneficial to aim for a score towards the upper end of the range (high 1400s) but remember to balance this with ensuring the other components of your application are strong.
