Question about Pace University's Required GPA

How's it going everyone? I’m seriously considering applying to Pace University but I’m a bit in the dark about their required GPA. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it really competitive, or can one breathe a little easy about it? Your insights would help heaps!

Hello there! The average accepted student at Pace University typically has a GPA around 3.3.

However, remember that GPA is just one aspect of your application. Pace University looks at other aspects like your extracurricular activities, personal essay, and letters of recommendation to get to know you holistically. They also consider the academic rigor of your high school classes.

So, even if your GPA is not quite at the average, you could still potentially be an attractive applicant if you’ve pursued a challenging high school curriculum or have notable extracurricular strengths, or if your intangible qualities come across clearly in your essays and letters of recommendation.

In general, to increase your chances of getting accepted, you'd ideally have a GPA that’s at least around that average. If your GPA is lower than the average, don't panic, though - just focus on showcasing your strengths in other areas of your application.

If you want to know how your application as a whole stacks up at Pace, I'd check out CollegeVine's free chancing engine, which accounts for all quantifiable elements of your application, including not just GPA but also course rigor, test scores (if you have them), and extracurriculars to give you personalized odds of acceptance at Pace and hundreds of other colleges: https://www.collegevine.com/admissions-calculator

This tool will also give you suggestions on how to improve your chances, whether by raising your GPA slightly or some other step, like earning a leadership position in one of your extracurriculars. All the best with your application!
