I'm quite keen on UC Irvine and I'm working towards my SAT. I can't seem to find a lot of information on what sort of SAT score range they accept. Does anyone have any idea or a ballpark estimate of the scores I should aim for?
The University of California system, including UC Irvine, has actually switched to a test-blind policy, which means that SAT and ACT scores are not considered in their admissions process at all, even if you submit them. That is likely why you have had a hard time finding information about SAT ranges - the SAT simply doesn't factor into UC Irvine's decision.
Instead of worrying about test scores, focus on maintaining a solid GPA, involving yourself in meaningful extracurricular activities, and writing strong essays, as these will be the pieces of your application that UC Irvine will emphasize. For example, if you want tips on how to craft strong responses to the UC personal insight questions, you can check out this blog post from CollegeVine: https://blog.collegevine.com/how-to-write-the-university-of-california-essays
Good luck!
