UNF requirements: What to aim for?

Is anyone out there familiar with University of North Florida's admission requirements? I'd like to know more about their expectations. What kind of GPA or standardized test scores are they looking for?

For the University of North Florida (UNF), the admissions process takes into account many aspects of your academic profile. Specific requirements may fluctuate year to year depending on the pool of applicants, but I can provide a general idea of what UNF usually looks for in prospective students.

When considering GPA, UNF usually looks for a high school GPA of around 3.9 on a 4.0 scale when calculated on an unweighted basis. Interestingly, UNF tends to primarily consider the GPA from your academic core courses, i.e., Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and World Language.

As for standardized test scores, UNF is currently test-optional, meaning they don't require you to submit SAT or ACT scores. However, if you feel that your standardized test scores enhance your application, you're welcome to submit them. For reference, the middle 50% of accepted students in previous years typically scored between 1010 to 1200 on the SAT and between 20 to 26 on the ACT.

Bear in mind, while these numerical targets can guide your preparation, UNF's admissions process will also involve a review of other factors like extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, community service, and your personal essay. Remember to make every section of your application the best representation of you. Good luck with your college application journey!
