What are SAT requirements like for University of Richmond?

Hi guys! I've decided I'm applying to University of Richmond, but I'm a little unclear on what SAT scores they're looking for? Can anybody shed some light on this?

Absolutely! University of Richmond, like many colleges, doesn't publish specific SAT requirements. However, you can get a sense of what they're looking for by reviewing the score ranges for admitted students.

For the latest admitted class, the middle 50% range for the SAT was between 1430 and 1510. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1430, 25% scored above 1510, and the remaining 50% scored somewhere in between.

However, keep in mind that these are not cut-off points and your admission is not solely based on SAT scores. Your overall application, including your essays, extracurriculars, and other aspects of your profile, also matter significantly. In case your SAT score falls below the middle 50% range, focus on highlighting your strengths in other areas of your application.

For the 2024-2025 admissions cycle, University of Richmond has a test-optional policy. Therefore, if you believe your SAT scores do not accurately reflect your academic potential, you can choose not to submit them.

Hope this helps and good luck with your application!
