What ACT Scores Does Tulane Generally Look For?

Stressed junior here! Planning on applying to Tulane and I'm just a bit confused on what ACT scores they're looking for. Can anyone shed some light?

While Tulane University does not specify a minimum ACT score for admissions, you can get an idea of the competitive score range by looking at the average ACT scores of students who are admitted. Typically, the middle 50% of accepted students at Tulane have ACT composite scores between 31 and 34. This means that 25% of admitted students score below a 31 and 25% score above a 34.

Remember, these are averages. People with scores below the middle 50% range are admitted too. Your ACT score is just one aspect of your application. Tulane also takes into consideration your GPA, course rigor, extracurricular activities, recommendations, and essays among other things.

If you have a score within or above Tulane's middle 50%, you would likely be a competitive applicant. If you are below, it might be a good idea to consider retaking the ACT or focusing heavily on highlighting your other strengths in your application.

Remember also that standardized testing can be one of the most "objective" pieces of your application. A strong score can provide reassurance to admissions officers about your academic abilities. Best of luck with your application!
