Does anyone know the average SAT score for University of Michigan applicants?

Working on my SAT prep and need some academic goals to aim for. Anyone know the average SAT score of students admitted to the University of Michigan? Trying to figure out what I should be aiming for.

The University of Michigan (UMich) does not publicly disclose the "average" SAT score of its admitted students. However, they do publish a range known as the middle 50% score range, which can give you a good idea of the scores most commonly seen in their pool of admitted students. For the University of Michigan, this range is approximately 1380-1540 out of 1600.

This effectively means that 25% of admitted students scored below a 1380, 25% scored above a 1540, and 50% of students fell within that range. If you're aiming to give yourself strong odds of admission, targeting a score in this range or above would be a good idea.

Just remember while preparing for the SAT, test scores are an important component of your application, they are by no means the only factor considered. UMich also looks at your GPA, the rigor of your high school courses, your extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and essays, among other things, when making admissions decisions.

So, while you should definitely aim to do your best on the SAT, remember to also focus on the other components of your application. Achieving a balanced application is the ultimate key to success. Good luck with your SAT prep!
