What are the weirdest college majors you’ve heard of?

Just for fun, y’all. I’m curious, what's the strangest or most unique major you’ve come across? Something that really made you think, 'you can major in that?' Please share! Would be cool to know of some unique fields of study out there.

There are so many interesting and unique college majors out there! It's incredible to see the variation and specialization in some disciplines. A few that stand out to me are:

1. 'Puppetry': Yes, you heard it right! Puppetry is a unique field of study offered by the University of Connecticut. It's a part of their Dramatic Arts department and is pretty popular for those interested in theater production and performance arts.

2. 'Viticulture and Enology': If you have a passion for winemaking, this major is for you. The University of California Davis offers this specialized study of grape growing and winemaking. It's a fascinating field that combines elements of biology, chemistry, and even business.

3. 'Forensic Entomology': If you're both intrigued by forensic science and have a keen interest in insects, forensic entomology may be the major for you! Texas A&M University offers this major, combining criminology and entomology to aid in legal investigations.

4. 'Bowling Industry Management and Technology': An entire major devoted to the bowling industry! It's offered by Vincennes University in Indiana, which runs a major to train students for all aspects of the bowling industry, from pinsetter mechanics to center management.

5. 'Bagpipes': A very specific major, but if you're passionate about bagpipes, then why not major in it? Carnegie Mellon University offers this degree track where students can study and perfect their skills in playing this instrument.

6. 'Casino Management': The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a fitting location, offers a degree in Casino Management. The program aims to equip students with an in-depth understanding of the gaming industry, including regulations, security, and marketing.

As you can see, the world of academia has a place for all kinds of interests. What's awesome is that no matter how unusual a field of study might seem, there are people who are passionate about it and institutions ready to nurture that passion.
